The Battle of Manila Bay took place on May 1, 1898 during the Spanish American
War in the Philippines. The Belligerents fought over Spain's alleged colonial
bureaucracy in the Philippines.
Among the key people in this event are Commodore George Dewey of the United
States' Pacific Squadron and Admiral Patricio Montojo y Pasaron of Spain.
